GUIDED MUSEUM TOURS

MUSEUM TOURS

The Museum conducts guided tours which take approximately an hour and can be tailored to suit specific groups such as students, youth clubs or adult community groups.

Our guides have an extensive knowledge of the maritime history of Queenscliff and Southern Port Phillip and they make the tours interesting, informative and exciting. All tour guides have Working With Children checks.

Contact the Museum by phone on 03 5258 3440 between 11.00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday or contact us by email to book a tour. Tour bookings should be made at least 2 weeks ahead so that we can organise our guides.

When requesting a tour please advise the approximate number in the group and the number of teachers/carers who will attend. For school tours we need to know the age level so the guide can tailor the tour to suit your group. We can also tailor the tour to your special interests, shipwrecks, Port Phillip history, or for the subject area students are studying.

The Museum can provide worksheets for students on request or you may design your own worksheet with the help of information we can supply prior to the visit.

Tours can be paid for on the day by cash or cheque or a tax invoice can be issued. Teachers, assistants, carers and bus drivers are not charged admission.

Car/coach parking close by, wheelchair friendly facilities, toilets, nautical gift shop, short walk to Queenscliff shopping precinct, Historical Museum, Bellarine Tourist Railway, Fort Queenscliff, harbour, pier and ferry terminal.
