DEFIANCE

Defiance is a red Couta Boat which lives in the harbour at Queenscliff.  The adventures of Defiance have been captured for children by local writers and illustrators.  The books tell gripping tales of drama and rescue in a mix of fantasy and historically accurate accounts of couta boats and the dangers of the Rip at the entrance to Port Phillip.

  • Defiance Goes to Sea - a delightful rhyming story about a little couta boat, mixing true history with fiction

  • Defiance to the Rescue - the history of Queenscliff?#8364;™s famous Lifeboat is depicted in a modern setting of search and rescue with Defiance once again the hero

The Defiance books are available in the Museum shop
